Patrons of the library must be respectful to other patrons and library employees.
Patrons shall refrain from loud and boisterous behavior.
Eating and drinking are not permitted in the library building except in the Potter Room and at specific library functions.
Smoking is not permitted on library property.
Cellular phones should be used in a manner that does not disrupt others.
Unless otherwise authorized by law, pursuant to the Ohio Revised Code, no person shall knowingly possess, have under the person's control, convey, or attempt to convey a deadly weapon or dangerous ordnances onto these premises.

Jackson City Library will be closed in observance of the following holidays:
Library equipment and materials are public property. Each user or borrower is responsible for returning equipment and materials in good condition.

Microfilm reader
It is the general policy of the Jackson City Library to accept all gifts of books and other library related materials provided only that:
1. Materials offered are clearly suitable for library use.
2. No stipulation to the use or disposition of the donated materials is made.
3. The staff of the library must have a free hand in disposal or refusal of duplicate titles, titles not needed, outdated materials of no sufficient reference or circulating value to the library, or titles in poor condition.
The Jackson City Library meeting room is available for public gatherings of a civic, cultural, or educational character, but is not for social gatherings, entertainments, dramatic productions, money-raising, or commercial purposes.
1. Smoking is prohibited.
2. No admission fee may be charged, nor may a collection be taken up.
3. No alcoholic beverages are allowed.
4. Each group using the meeting room is responsible for any damage incurred.
